(Green and Blue 2007, Raresh)

Yesterday, I visited:
10 Years anniversary Circoloco
(mmh, normaly I´m not the kind of person to begin my day with a party starting at 10:00 o´clock in the morning - but, let´s see - I gave this party a chance)

(my entry card)

Line Up:
Ibiza´s Circoloco DC10 resident dj´s Tania Vulcano, Matthias Tanzmann,
Dan Ghenacia, Sossa, Rene, Andrew Crant, Jose de Divina.
The party took place at King Kamehameha Beach Club in Offenbach.

(stage, with main dance floor in front)

Music was nice, but too quiet (yes, you read right: music was much too quiet). Hopefully, there wasn´t any rain (mmh, Frankfurt party posse is alway having luck with the weather on open air parties). Party closed at 22:00 o´clock (half an hour before closing I tried to begin dancing in the sand).
Official after hour took place in MTW.
I stayed 5 minutes in this club (before I had to wait 20 minutes in a row in front of the club).
It was too crowdy, too hot, too sticky, too loud and at least people were very young (if I had known this before...).
So, going to Robert Johnson (next to MTW) was the better desicion. Here Prins Thomas played funky house music.
I´m going to get old - prefering nice relaxed parties with selected visitors - too much of these kids in one club dressed up in too narrow jeans, new rave accessories and silly sunclasses buyed at H&M make me going crazy.

shops in Frankfurt: bigblack record store

Hum along with your friends..
Looking for some good vinyl in Frankfurt? Don´t miss biglack record store.
If you´re looking for the latest techno and electro stuff you´re wrong here.
Gürcim Pesin is selling, mmh, let´s call it retro vinyls from the 70ies up to the late 90ies. He is into the record business since years and has a huge knowledge about music. So, here you´re dealing with an real expert. When I just looked around the shop I found David Bowies record "Heroes" from 1977. So, Gürcim is a great record dealer - in his shop you can listen to every record you want to, having a nice small talk with him and you can find beside vinyl a lot of crazy items like a playing table by atari from the early 80ies, books (also in other languages), HiFi stuff, dvd´s, video´s, cd´s and everything you can´t imagine. Great, when you pay in cash you get 20 % less of the price. He also helps you in reparing your broken electronic equipment. You can visit Gürcim in his record store from Tuesday to Friday in the time between 11:00 - 19:00 o´clock and Saturdays from 10:00 - 14:00 o´clock at the Eiserne Hand 8-10, 60318 Frankfurt (drive with underground U5 to "Musterschule").
But please, bring some time along.

Frankfurt eyes on: Gabriel & Schwan

In this episode:

from Köln

Fenke Schwan and Alex Gabriel studied at the Academy of Arts in Amhem (Netherlands). There they discovered not only their love for each other, but also for accessories and fashion: the design and feel of materials and fabrics, the search for something special. In March 2006 they founded their label Gabriel and Schwan. Products from Gabriel & Schwan are easy to wear and fashionable. It´s a mix from street-wear and high-fashion.
The current collection (it´s already the second one) consists of bags of various sizes and shapes, as well as different scarves. All pieces are screen-printed by hand.

You can buy all items in their online shop: www.gabriel-schwan.de

Breite Gasse 24

met this guys at Familie Montez

Kunstverein Familie Montez

Welcome to Familie Montez

Going out in Frankfurt is going to be more and more difficult. At least if you´re not a 35 years old banker who works between the week so much that he has only time to spend money in clubs at saturday night.
Most clubs and parties are too posh, too expensive, too stupid.
Not at Kunstverein Familie Montez. Meeting interesting people and dancing between modern art.
Anja Czioska and Mirek Macke (alumni from Städelschule Frankfurt) show you in the Breiten Gasse 24, Frankfurt new art on 800 m2.
You can watch the whole collection between 20:00 - 23:00 o´clock.
After 23:00 o´clock the party start with changing Dj´s.

review: Waggon Bash, 28.06.2008

Last week on Saturday, Harzwerk presented on the bank of the Main river (Offenbach) their Waggon Bash party. Already at 23:00 o´clock people were dancing in front of the waggon or sitting on the river bank for drinking beer and listening to fine techno sounds. So, for the first: great evening. Loud techno music, bbq, fantastic warm weather. Were it not for the police. Harzwerk team had the wrong permission. They were just allowed to "use" the waggon, but not the river bank. After the last track "Wir sind die Roboter" the party was displaced to Rotari.
